Dear Stuart,

Thank you for your FOI request regarding Wilmslow Fire, Police & Ambulance
stations.

We’re unable to fulfil your request as the documents you have asked for
are held by Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service. We were approached by Cheshire
Fire and Cheshire Police and asked if we would be interested in further
discussions regarding shared facilities which we agreed to. We were later
informed by Cheshire Fire that they had decided against going ahead with
the project, so for the reasons why it hasn’t been pursued etc, it would
be more useful for you to put this request to Cheshire Fire & Rescue
Service.

Regards

Maddy

Dear Madeline Edgar,

Thank you for your response.

I have also issued the same request to both Cheshire Constabulary (CC) and Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service (CFRS).

The reason I issued this request to NWANHST was based on two reasons.

The first was the statement made by CFRS which said: "The Authority has been pursuing options to redevelop Wilmslow Fire Station with its emergency service partners to create a multi-agency hub."It refers to partners (plural) not a partner (singular), hence it must refer to more than one other emergency service (ie NWANHST)

The second was a conversation I had with Inspector Andrew Baker (CC), who said that he had already seen documents relating to a joint police & ambulance station on the site of the existing ambulance station.

Either he was mistaken or you are not aware of this information.

I, therefore, request that you look again and provide the information requested or confirm that no such proposal has ever existed for a joint Police & Ambulance Station.

Yours sincerely,

Stuart Redgard

Hello Stuart,

As is usual practice with FOIs, I discussed this matter with the relevant
team before sending you my response – in this case, I discussed your
request with our Estates lead for the Cheshire & Merseyside area and our
Head of Service for Cheshire and Merseyside. Both managers confirmed that
we were invited to take part in discussions with Cheshire Fire and
Cheshire Police, however, we were later informed that the project was no
longer going ahead. That was the full extent of our involvement.

If any plans or drawings are in existence, we have not seen any and they
will have been commissioned by the fire service so they need to provide
them to you.

Today I have spoken with Cheshire Fire Service who confirmed receiving
your request and will be responding to you themselves in due course.

Regards

Maddy
