Fourth, if a child complains to you about being PHYSICALLY abused do you aomatically report the complaint

3rd May.

 

For your information the Children's Commissioner for England is appointed
by the Secretary of State for Education.

The role and remit of the Children's Commissioner for England is set out
in the Children Act 2004, please click [1]here to view the Act.

The Office of the Children's Commissioner Safeguarding Policy Handbook,
copy attached, sets out the procedure to be followed regarding any child
protection issues we may receive.

     

If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me. Please
remember to quote the reference number above in any future
communications.  If you are unhappy with the way your request has been
handled, you have the right to appeal our decision if you think it is
incorrect by contacting the Children’s Commissioner, Office of the
