Dear Homes for Haringey,

Thank you for your prompt and speedy reply.

I am writing to request an internal review of Homes for Haringey's handling of my FOI request 'Tenancies ended by death of the tenant'.

I believe that you have not provided the information I asked for, which concerned General Needs tenancies only.

You have provided information on tenancies for the whole stock (General Needs and Supported Housing together), as shown by the whole stock numbers you have used (15,000 plus dwellings).

Can you please provide the information for General Needs tenancies only.

I might be helpful if you could also provide the figures for tenancies ended by death, for the whole stock, with annual stock numbers, separately for General Needs, Good Neighbour schemes and Sheletered Housing, for each year. If necessary, I could send a new request for this additional information.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

With thanks

Yours faithfully,

Paul Burnham

Dear Jasper,

Thank you for this informative response.

Kind regards,

Dear Jasper,

I am writing again to seek clarification on your answer.

You wrote:

>>YEAR COUNCIL DWELLINGS – LOVE LANE 102-116 WOODSIDE Sheltered Housing
GENERAL NEEDS

2015 106 2 0 54
2016 88 1 0 63
2017 88 2 0 57
2018 84 0 0 45
2019 ytd 65 1 0 48<<

However, the order of the four figures for each year is not quite clear.

Is it General Needs stock, Love Lane, Woodside Avenue, sheltered stock, in that order?

That is different from the heading you have given.

Or is the order Sheltered, Love Lane, Woodside Avenue, General Needs stock?

That is also different from the heading you have given.

Please can you supply these figures in a table, with each of the 4 columns of figures clearly identified.

With thanks

Kind regards,

Paul Burnham

Dear Jasper,

Here is a further question:

Q do the figures you have quoted for Tenancies ended by death of the tenant include the death of a joint tenant, where the tenancy would normally be continued in the name of the surviving joint tenant?

I would be grateful if you could clarify this point for me.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Burnham

South Jasper, Homes for Haringey

Dear Paul
I do apologise for the lack of clarity. I presented the figures in a table but clearly that format has been lost when it appears on the What Do They Know website. The figures are indeed in the order General Needs; Love Lane; Woodside; Sheltered. If you provide me a direct email address I will send you the information again in tables.
Kind Regards
Jasper

Hi Paul
The figures don’t include joint tenancies where one of the tenants has died and the other has succeeded, since in law the tenancy is deemed not to have ended in these circumstances.
Kind Regards
Jasper
