FOI ref: 2020/0604

Thank you for your request for information clarified 11th May 2020.

We will consider your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. You should receive a response within 20 working days - in this case, by 9th June 2020.

***Please note, due to the additional pressures across the Trust as a result of coronvavirus, at this time, we may be unable to provide the information you have requested within the statutory timeframe, as our resources may be diverted to the urgent management of this public health threat.

We thank you for your patience, and where a delay does occur, we apologise sincerely, we will outline your right of complaint. ***

Please be aware, the information you have requested may not be disclosed to you if it is exempt.

We will inform you if:
• we are unable to achieve the 20 working day deadline. We aim to give you a revised due date as soon as possible.
• we are unable to give you the information as responding to your request exceeds the ‘appropriate limit’. This would apply if it would take us longer than 18 hours to retrieve, collate and provide the information you request.

Good afternoon

FOI ref: 2020/0604

Further to your email below, I can now respond to your request dated 11th May 2020.

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) does not hold the information that you have requested in an easily retrievable format.

Regarding the breakdown of cost per role, the Trust does not hold this information centrally. The team only centrally record high level spend, e.g. spend on nursing, spend on admin etc (e.g. as provided here - https://www.penninecare.nhs.uk/applicati...). We would need to manually review our financial accounts to collate the information for each role requested; as you can see by the usage provided attached, these roles have been heavily utilised and this would take in excess of 18 hours.

Therefore, as per Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the cost of providing you with the information is above the amount to which we are legally required to respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the ‘appropriate level’ as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.

In accordance with the S.17 of the Freedom of Information Act, this correspondence is your Refusal Notice for that information.

In accordance with S.16, the duty to advise and assist, I can advise that the remaining information regarding hours has been retrieved, and is provided attached as a gesture of goodwill. If you would like any further, more generic information, regarding agency spend, please submit a new request.
