I am writing in response for your request for information regarding
temporary accommodation.

 

I can confirm the Council holds the following information that is relevant
to your request.

 

1. How many properties do you currently have on Temporary Accommodation?

 

0 - we have 4 units of Council owned temporary accommodation - currently
void

 

2. Please can you advise us on the maximum that is paid per night for a
Studio, 1 Bed, 2 Bed, 3 Bed & 4 Bed?.

 

The Council properties are studio flats - £108.15 per week. Nightly rates
for B&B, about £60-70 for single person - £80-90 for family.

 

3. Who are your largest 5 suppliers and how much do you pay them on
average every month?

 

Based on the Council’s 2016/17 outturn, the information is as follows:

 

            Travelodge         £675.72

            Ashbee Guest House     £96.25

            Mr M Conway    £ 84.17

            Seraphim Accommodation Services Ltd   £72.08

            Phillips Accommodation Limited  £19.25

           

4. If we were to supply accommodation on this basis, please can you give
us contact  names and telephone numbers of the procurement team?

 

B&B is very rarely used by the Council, and it spot purchases when needed.

 

In the event you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you
have the right to ask for an internal review, which will be carried out by
a separate Council Officer.
