Telephone claim

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

DWP and Jobcentre expect claimants who have 24 hour internet access to make a claim for Universal Credit on DWP website gov.uk and maintain their claim throughout using their Universal Credit account online. Looking at DWP document “Spotlight on telephone claim” I see claimants can make a telephone claim instead of online claim even if they have internet access.

Request 1. Please provide me with any recorded information held by the DWP and Jobcentre that says claimants with 24 hour internet access must make an online claim for Universal Credit instead of a telephone claim.

Request 2. Please provide me with any recorded information held by the DWP and Jobcentre detailing what action the DWP and Jobcentre can take against claimants with 24 hour internet access who insist they want to make a telephone claim for Universal Credit and maintain a telephone claim throughout instead of an online claim.

Yours faithfully,

Stephen Cooper
