Ben Whitehouse

Dear Michael Warby,

I'm not requesting all the survey information for all the schools, my particular interest in is Asbestos, Radon, Structural Integrity, Electrical Safety and any information regarding land contamination. If this information can be extracted from surveys that would be useful. I'm interested in the condition and safety of the schools cancelled from the BSF programme.

I'm a little surprised that the request for an asbestos management plan hasn't been forthcoming more quickly. The duty to manage asbestos is contained in regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.

The asbestos management plan is there ensure that a plan sets out in detail how the risks from asbestos will be managed. The duty to manage covers all non-domestic premises. Such premises include all industrial, commercial or public buildings such as factories, warehouses, offices, shops, hospitals and schools.

Yours sincerely,

Ben Whitehouse
