Dear Bristol City Council,

Please provide or publish information on:

1) How much "surplus money" has Bristol City Council obtained in 17/18 financial year from FPN income since Kingdom contract started?

2) Please detail:
A) how "surplus money" from 17/18 financial year has been spent or has been committed?
B) what does Bristol City Council plan to spend "surplus money" on in 18/19 financial year?

3) Who in Bristol City Council decides (individual/group/committee) how that "surplus money" is spent?

1)  How much "surplus money" has Bristol City Council obtained in 17/18
financial year from FPN income since Kingdom contract started?

£55,971

 

2)  Please detail:

a.  how  "surplus money" from 17/18 financial year has been spent or has
been committed?

IT equipment -  £8k

Communications materials = £3k

Staff costs = £44,973

 

b.      what does Bristol City Council plan to spend "surplus money" on in
18/19 financial year?

The amount we receive depends on  the number of fines. This and any future
funds will support a number of work areas to improve the quality of the
local environment including:

-              Supporting the work of the BCC Enforcement Team by
providing equipment and resources  or increasing team capacity

-              Resourcing the clean streets campaign and related work
providing equipment and resources  or increasing team capacity

 

3)  Who in Bristol City Council decides (individual/group/committee) how
that "surplus money" is spent?

      The current contract is a pilot for 9  to 12 months.  Cabinet will
be considering whether to continue the approach beyond the 12 months.

Budgets are set annually buy Full Council. Operational decisions are made
by the service.
