I refer to your recent enquiry relating to the above which has been dealt
with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

 

Please find below the Council’s response to the questions you raised:

 

I would like to request the following information School spend on agency
staff over the period April 2012 - January 2013;

    

1) The amount spent on temporary or external teaching agency staff

 

A: The amount schools have recorded as expenditure on external teaching
agency staff for the period April 2012 to 18 January 2013  is £2,529,435

 

2) The agencies the school have used for the provision of these staff.

 

A: We do not hold a central record of details of the agencies used by
schools.

 

If you are not content with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review.  Requests for internal reviews should
be submitted within 2 months of the date of receipt of the response to
your original request and should be addressed to the Monitoring Officer,
