Dear Aberdeen City Council,

1. Do you currently have your own "In House" Service, preferred
suppliers list or master vendor contract in place for your Supervised Contact Service for children in care?

2. If you have a contract in place, when will this be due for
renewal and what is your process for announcing, advertising and
applying for this opportunity?

3. If you have your own "In House" Service, do you ever spot
purchase to support this service and would the service ever be put
out for tender?

4. Do you have any intention to review the existing provisions in place for your Supervised Contact Service?

5. What is the council's annual spend and forecasted spend on outsourced agencies for
supervised contact for 2018 - 2019 and 2019 - 2020?

5. What is the name and contact details for the procurement and
placement officer who is responsible for this service?

Thank you for your information request of 02 July 2019.  Aberdeen City
Council (ACC) has completed the necessary search for the information
requested. Our response is now detailed below.

 

1. Do you currently have your own "In House" Service, preferred suppliers
list or master vendor contract in place for your Supervised Contact
Service for children in care?

ACC have an ‘In House’ provision to support Supervised Contact for
children Looked After out with parental care.

 

2. If you have a contract in place, when will this be due for renewal and
what is your process for announcing, advertising and applying for this
opportunity?

Not applicable, please see the response to question above.

 

3. If you have your own "In House" Service, do you ever spot purchase to
support this service and would the service ever be put out for tender?

Occasionally spot purchase for children placed out with Aberdeen City. We
have not plans to put the service out to tender at this time.

 

4. Do you have any intention to review the existing provisions in place
for your Supervised Contact Service?

No.

 

5. What is the council's annual spend and forecasted spend on outsourced
agencies for supervised contact for 2018 - 2019 and 2019 - 2020?

ACC is unable to provide the details as centralised data base does not
hold this information.

 

ACC is unable to provide you with information on what is the council's
annual spend and forecasted spend on outsourced agencies for supervised
contact for 2018 - 2019 and 2019 – 2020 as it is not held by ACC.  In
order to comply with its obligations under the terms of Section 17 of the
