Summary of Costs of the 'Bruce Grove Stakeholders Group'

The request was successful.

Catherine MacArthur

Dear Haringey Borough Council,

Please could you informing me of the following under FOI Act.

1.
I would like a detailed point by point cost breakdown to clarify what was said by Cllr Strickland at the Bruce Grove and West Green Forum Meeting on 24th July on the expenditures that Haringey has so far incurred under the heading of his presentation;
'Tottenham Regeneration Update - West Green and Bruce Grove' which focused on how Haringey has spent money to improve the quality of the community space for these two wards;

a) Bruce Grove bridge and station (I believe this was paid for by Network Rail in full - is this correct? - a cost from them would be useful if they are kind enough to supply it)
b) Holcombe Road and market
c) Albert Place and Brook Street alleyways
d) Town Centre events
e) Shopfront improvements
f) N17 Design Studio
g) A cleaner, safer environment - joined up street cleaning, anti-social behaviour monitoring and enforcement (Pilot project developed)

h) West Green Road shopfront improvements
i) West Green Road Pocket Park
j) West Green Road Bridge Art
k) Town Centre management

2.
Were the costs above met by the Regeneration Fund, or from another source or sources? If so, which ones.

3. I would like to know how much of the Regeneration Money has been spend and which items on the stretch of Tottenham High Road (on both the west & the east sides) that had the fires in Aug 2011, (other than the areas mentioned above).
To be more precise, I would like to know what moneys has been spent to improve the public space for the community in the stretch of the High Road from i) the Police Station down to ii) the cross roads of Lordship Lane and the High Road(other than the areas mentioned above). (Do not include number 639 or Allied Carpets)

4.
I would like the minutes from the relevant committee (or other group - elected members or not), that decided that there was no money for the Bruce Grove bridge to have a design painted on it, or how it was decided that Haringey would not fund some extra money to ensure the painting programme for the bridge met the wishes of the best suggestions from the community.

5.
I would like to know when the improvements to the bridge at Bruce Grove will be completed to bring a final 21st century dimension to the quality of life for the community in Bruce Grove - such as the up lighting.

Yours faithfully,

Catherine MacArthur

Dear Haringey Council,

The heading of my FOI request does not reflect the nature of it, and so I have requested that it be altered.
It should read something like;
'Summary of Costs of Regeneration of Bruce Grove, West Green and Tottenham High Road'.
Hopefully this will show up in the next few days.
Regards
CM

Catherine MacArthur

Dear Pietikainen Sirkku,

I am completely confused about why you think I complained about the response to my FoI request being overdue.
This was not why I asked for an internal review. The internal review was because I do not think that requests regarding the spending of public money should be secretive and that no one is held accountable for it.

I am therefore asking again, that a second Internal review be done in response to my FoI request because Cllr Strickland said at the Public meeting at the V&A that Tottenham had £2B of regeneration money.

I think it therefore reasonable that I ask how much each of the items that he has itemised ( in print) at the last Public Forum meeting as being part of that Regeneration cost, be made public.

Yours sincerely,

Catherine MacArthur
