Dear Mr Swift,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request for Information

I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information held by the
Authority under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

I would respectfully advise you, however, that before we are able to
accept and process your request, I need to seek some clarification from
you.

In order that I may assist you in getting the information you require,
could you please clarify exactly what you define as “council properties”?

I am wondering, for instance, whether you are looking for details
regarding buildings in which the Council has staff/ provides public
services (such as libraries, for example)

or for social housing properties (generally known as “Council houses”). If
it is the latter, please note that we would not hold the information you
are requesting, as we transferred

all our housing stock to Wakefield District Housing (WDH) in 2005.

Please find contact details for WDH below:

I ask the above not to be obstructive in any way. On the contrary, I am
keen to ensure that any disclosure to you is as complete and relevant for
your purposes as possible.

Please note that the request will be placed “on hold” until we receive a
response from you.

Thank you for your kind co-operation.

Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Swift,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request for Information

I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information held by the
Authority under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

Please find the response to your request below.

Wakefield Council has a partnership with Equans
([1]https://www.equans.co.uk/) to deliver all our building activity
including maintenance, refurbishments and small works across Council
properties. Whilst Equans may use sub-contractors for some of this work,
my understanding is that the Council is unaware of their details.

I have been liaising with colleagues in the departments responsible for
Property and Facilities in an attempt to try and ascertain whether we do
hold such sub-contractor details anywhere in our records. At the present
time (bearing in mind that the statutory deadline has now been reached) I
have not been given any indication that such information is held by the
Council. However, should any relevant data come to light I will, of
course, contact you again.

I hope that this information is helpful for your purposes, and am sorry
that I have not been able to provide you with more data as things stand.

Yours sincerely
