Dear Information Rights Team,
I am asking if you can confirm thanks to robust procedure and policy that you would hold a signed contact for all SPM appointments. You would have this information without recourse to looking through each document as it is not possible to employ someone as a SPM without the necessary paperwork being completed and held on file.Is this the case?

Yours sincerely,

john o'sullivan

Dear Information Rights Team,
Thank you for a reply to my request.I have not asked for the names of SPM's just do you have a signed contract for each appointment.Whilst I nderstand the cost of providing this information to a FOI request might be costly does POL not consider that this is information you should hold as a matter of course-Do we have a signed contract for each of our SPM's?If you decide at some future date this would be good information to have available(Sir Wynn Williams Inquiry might be interested)please can you share it?At the very least can you confirm that you hold signed contracts for all of the 736 SPM's you prosecuted

Yours sincerely,

Dear Information Rights Team,
Thank you for a reply. You appear to be saying that without checking you do not know if you have Appointment Contracts that have been signed by SPM'S.Is this the case?Further it would seem from your answer that you did not check that you hold signed contracts for the SPM's you pursued in Court. Is this a correct assumption? In Cort you suggested the appointment and handover to a new SPM was a very well estabilshed and a uniform experience. How could this appointment process not include something as simple (and necessary) as ensuring a signed Contract is obtained from the SPM?One last question-Is the answer to how many SPM's are working for POL without signed Contracts,"We just dont know?"
