Dear J Salzare
TfL Ref: FOI-0129-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20
April 2022, asking for information about Street Care reports.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can
confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
The Transport for London Street Care reporting tool is not setup to
request Bus Stop or Bus Shelter name changes.
Specifically, reports FMS3328010, FMS2794676, FMS2794685, FMS2794488,
FMS3433223 and FMS3433188 were all raised as ‘Damage – other (bus stops
and shelters)’ when actual damage did not exist. When using Street Care,
if the correct ‘Other’ had been selected (due to existing categories not
applying), a referral to Customer Services would have been made; either by
telephone on 0343 222 1234 or using a web reporting [1]form.
This type of change request would be individually assessed and the
customer advised accordingly. Name changes to a Bus Shelter and/or Bus
Stop are only considered if there is a mis-match between the stop and
shelter, a referenced environmental change, or a request from the relevant
borough if it’s a non-Transport for London highway. With this in mind, the
process in dealing with each was as follows:
FMS3328010 was raised to have the shelter name changed due to a confirmed
mis-match. This change was inspected and confirmed completed on 10 March
2022. Please see the work order details attached.
FMS3433188 was raised to have the Bus Stop and Bus Shelter name changed
due to the confirmed named reference no longer existing. At the time of
writing this has been confirmed as completed by our contractors. Please
see the work order details attached.
FMS2794676, FMS2794685, FMS2794488 and FMS3433223 did not fit the
aforementioned criteria and were therefore closed advising to request the
change with the relevant borough.
We don’t have any emails or meeting minutes to share on the above.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
