Dear Havant Borough Council,

I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
1. Full list of sweepers owned/leased by the council (under 4tonne GVW) including make and model
2. (if leased) Lease start & end date (month and year would suffice)
3. (If owned) Year purchased & when the council are looking to renew their fleet of sweepers
4. Does the council carry out street cleansing duties in-house or is this contracted out?
5. (If contracted out) who is the contractor responsible for street cleansing duties?
6. Contact details for the person(s) responsible for managing the fleet and street cleansing within the council

Thank you for your request for information under the Environmental
Information Regulations 2004, which was received by Havant Borough Council
on 27 May 2021. You have requested the following:

 

Full list of sweepers owned/leased by the council (under 4tonne GVW)
including make and model

 

Street cleansing in Havant Borough is delivered by our partners, Norse
South East. Havant Borough Council does not own or lease any sweepers.
Norse South East own Hako City Master x2.

 

2.      (if leased) Lease start & end date (month and year would suffice)

 

No sweepers are leased.

 

3.      (If owned) Year purchased & when the council are looking to renew
their fleet of sweepers

 

Norse SE have two sweepers purchased in December 2019. The council does
not own any sweepers.

 

4.      Does the council carry out street cleansing duties in-house or is
this contracted out?

 

Norse South East carry out street cleansing duties.

 

5.      (If contracted out) who is the contractor responsible for street
cleansing duties?

 

As above.

 

6.      Contact details for the person(s) responsible for managing the
fleet and street cleansing within the council

 

The council is not responsible for managing the fleet. The Head of Service
responsible for managing liaison with the Norse South East partnership is
Trevor Pugh, Interim Head of Environmental Services, email:
