Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
I am writing to request more information about the following contract between NHS Digital (a part of DHSC) and IBM, called 'Strategic Trace Solution'.
This contract has been published without much information for an observer to be able to understand the purpose of the contraxct. In the 'description' field, it simply says 'Contract Award Notice'. This is not adequate infromation for transparency purposes. Please can you give any further details of the intended purpose of the IBM software purchased in this contract? Can you specify if it is intended for the response to the Covid-19 pandemic (and specifically part of the Test, Track and Trace system), and what framework agreement does this call off contract relate to?
