Dear University of Cambridge,

I would like to request all of the past exam papers (and, if possible, solutions) for the STEP examinations for Physics (9490) and Chemistry (9485). I believe they were discontinued around 2002 and produced by the Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board.

Yours faithfully,

Archives Team Mailbox,

Dear Oliver Philips,

Your enquiry regarding STEP examination papers has been passed on to us at
Cambridge Assessment Archives & Heritage.

We can provide copies of past examination material on completion of a
copyright form and payment of a search and copy fee. Please see the
information below which shows charges.

Copies can be provided as PDFs by email or as paper copies by post.

The OCSEB Physics 9490 and Chemistry 9485 examinations were held between
1948 and 1998, and after that by OCR until 2002. Before we gather all the
copies you require, please could you confirm whether you would like all
the years between 1948 and 1998, or a selection of years.

You are also welcome to visit the Archives here to view the material we
hold, and if that would work for you an appointment should be made in
advance. There is then an option for you to photograph the material, and
for this we issue you with a photography permit at £5 per day. In
addition, our search and copy charges for visitors to the Archives is 50p
per item, and this may work out to be less expensive for you.
