Dear Student Loans Company Limited,

I'm not sure if you can read because I question the intelligence of the people that run and work for the Student Loans Company. However I will give this a go...

You keep sending me letters and emails about updating my status of employment I have tried to look on your website and you clearly make the process long-winded. I have not got any bank statements to send you and to be honest I've got much better things to be doing now that I'm unemployed such as updating my portfolio and looking for a job not mucking about letting your stupid company know that I'm unemployed or writing this flipping message here!

Now the thing that bothers me the most is that you are connected or part of the government gov.uk so therefore you will have the details of my status and everything else on your records. You're so poorly run and can't even provide an email address for something as important as the Student Loans Company or other .Gov services in the year 2020. I can see someone requesting one way back in 2013 on this very site and still there is no email!!??? Because you can't even provide an email so I can contact you to let you know I can't give you bank statements you can do one and stop sending me letters and provide everyone in the country with a bloody UK email address for the Student Loans Company and Government email addresses. It's so pathetic and insulating that their is no email address provided in 2020.

It's clear that it is an attempt to make money in my opinion.

1 - Send people letters letting them know if they don't update details they will get a fine.

2- make it really difficult to update and contact slc

3 - fine the bastads

4 - oh well student, sorry... more money for us at slc

What could the reason be for not suppling an email addresses is it may be to cut costs so you don't have to pay for people to respond to them? Also to make it difficult for people to resolve things so you are free to fine them?? Well that's not good enough I paid over £10,000 in tax last year when I was employed so I think now that I'm not employed that £10,000 can be used to pay someone to set up an email address for people in the UK.

This is disgusting and if you respond without telling me that there is an email address which is currently being set up for the UK then this will not under any circumstances be acceptable.

I trust you will finally take note of what I am saying and set up an email address for everyone to contact the government if they require to.

Please don't tell me we can contact you by post do you want me to get a horse and cart and track up there myself and deliver it to you on a rolled up bit of paper stuck together by wax!?

Yours faithfully with a big smile,
Lord Stefan Costain Emperor and guardian of the UK

FOI Requests, Y Cwmni Benthyciadau i Fyfyrwyr

Dear Sir

We refer to your recent email dated 30^th January 2020 requesting
information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”).

Having carefully reviewed your email, there does not appear to be an
actual request for information included.  Your email comprises various
statements and your own personal opinions.  The only questions included
appear to be entirely rhetorical.

Your email does, however, indicate that you are expecting a response.

By way of general information, our website
([1]https://www.gov.uk/government/organisati...)
does include a number of email addresses, including the one which this
request has been submitted to.  There are not, however, direct
customer-facing email addresses for every department within SLC.

Given the content of your email, we would suggest that the customer-facing
email address which is included on our complaints procedure webpage
([2]https://www.gov.uk/government/organisati...)
would be the most suitable to address your specific concerns to.
Alternatively, as stated in the auto-response message issued by SLC’s
Freedom of Information Office, if any email received in the FOI Office
mailbox which related to a student finance application or account enquiry,
if sufficient information has been provided to identify the relevant
account, the email will be passed to the relevant department.  We cannot
do that presently based on the information provided to date by you.  A
further alternative would be to forward your email on to our Customer
Relations Unit (“CRU”) based on the personal email address you provided in
the subject of your request, however CRU will likely have to contact you
to request further information to pass customer authentication checks.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review.

Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date
of receipt of the response to your original request and should be
addressed to the Freedom of Information Office, Student Loans Company
Limited, 100 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7JD,  or by email:
[SLC request email].  Please remember to quote the reference number
above in any future communications.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision.  The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:

Information Commissioner's Office
Wycliffe House
Water Lane
Wilmslow

Yours sincerely
