Statistics for Bsc Management 2020
Dear London School of Economics,
Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I kindly request some answers and data from you regarding admission statistics from application cycle 2020 and 2021 for the course BSc Management.
I request the following, quite broad data:
- all A-Level (predicted results) and corresponding subjects. This includes international A-Levels and Pre-U qualifications.
- all corresponding anonymised applicants, including Home and OS categories and the decision/response after receiving an offer or a rejection.
Yours faithfully,
Sir. Stephen Foster
This email is not going to be monitored until 4th Janaury 2022.
Thank you for your email. As you will appreciate, information requests
place additional demands on the School in terms of costs and staff time.
At present we are having to prioritise our finite resources in order to
meet the unprecedented challenges we are facing during the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic. As such, we need to advise you that while we will
continue to process individual requests, you may experience some delay in
our response during the current pandemic.
Dear London School of Economics,
I appreciate the reply and look forward to hearing from you after the 4th of January.
Dear Stephen,
With regards to your recent FoI enquiry, you have identified yourself as Sir Stephen Foster but also as James Cordigan, please can you supply appropriate proof of your correct identity, such as a scan of your passport of driver's licence.
I am seeking this information as there is a possibility that we may exempt some of the information you have requested. In such cases, it is important that we are able to refer to your real name in order to allow you to request an internal review or ultimately complain to the ICO if you choose to do so, as both the LSE and the ICO do not accept first-name only requests in their tribunals. Please note: This information will not be retained once your identify has been confirmed.
Could I ask you to think about the underlying question that is prompting your data request. If you are attempting to find out what are your chances of getting a place, remember that this cannot be answered by reference to data. Applications are considered on their individual merits, based on a holistic view of your supporting documents in the context of the current cohort. Figures from previous years will not offer any insight on your application. Your best way to find the answer is to apply. However, please let me know if you wish us to proceed with obtaining the information requested.
Best Wishes,
Bhavika

Dear GLPD.Info.Rights,
I am making this request for personal research and not to find the chances of receiving a place.
Please release the information requested so that there is increased transparency within your admissions process.
My real name is James Cordigan, and for security purposes I will not be releasing my driving license or any identification on this public website, as is not my legal obligation.
Yours sincerely,
James Cordigan
Dear James,

We will delete your ID once we have seen it.
Best Wishes,
Bhavika
