State aid wiki

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (‘BEIS’)

The European Union’s Member States and the European Commission participate in a sharing of information about how to apply the state aid rules called ‘State aid Wiki’. This is a very useful document for BEIS as it gives them insight into the rules.

However it would assist all organisations within the UK to share this document. We understand European Commission officials have said in public meetings that they would have no objections to Member States sharing this document and many other Member States are much more open about the information within the document.

Therefore I request:

1. The latest version of State aid wiki.

2. An summary of State aid wiki information held by specialist State aid staff at BEIS;

3. Slides and other papers about the current arrangements for the State aid regime shared at recent cross departmental State aid meetings: and

4. The BEIS State aid team internal manual for procedures and applying block exemptions.

Yours faithfully,

Roger Barlow
