Dear Cumbria County Council,

At the County Council Area Committee Meeting on the 26th May 2022 I made a public statement asking the Committee to request the Council Officers to draw up an options paper for making the Stanwix Conservation Area a 20mph limit, including the roads around the Primary School and also to install a glass mirror at the blind turn at bottom of Well Lane. I listed 28 danger hot-spots in and on the outskirts the Stanwix Conservation Area.

The County Councillor for Stanwix Urban, Elizabeth Mallinson responded verbally in the Committee meeting stating that discussions and investigations had been undertaken into road safety around Stanwix.

Please can you provide me with all reports, correspondence, County Council Committee minutes and papers which relate to road safety in Stanwix Urban Division?

Yours faithfully,

Brian Wernham

Dear Cumbria County Council,

Re: FOI-13221-2022

Please pass this email on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cumbria County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Stanwix Urban traffic safety: reports and correspondence'.

I acknowledge that a full review and file search would be too costly.

Instead, please can you pass me any overview documents and action plans that are easily accessible that cover planned improvements for traffic safety in Carlisle including Stanwix Urban?

Yours faithfully,

Brian Wernham

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your email.

The below would be a new FOI request rather than conducting an internal review, can you please confirm you wish for the new request:

"Instead, please can you pass me any overview documents and action plans that are easily accessible that cover planned improvements for traffic safety in Carlisle including Stanwix Urban?"

Kind regards,
