Dear Hewett School

Please send me the overall staff turnover rate (teaching and non-teaching), including staff with either full-time or part-time contracts, at The Hewett School. It would be helpful if you used the following formula:

(total number of leavers during the last twelve months x 100)
divided by
(average total staff over the period [start headcount and end headcount divided by two])

Please include all staff appointed directly or indirectly by the Central Norwich Foundation Trust, or by previous governing bodies, with cost code Hewett School comprising those on permanent or temporary contracts excluding agency cover.

Include staff who have left voluntarily and also those who have left involuntarily due, for example, to the culmination of their contract, dismissal or redundancy and as a result of retirement. Do not include staff leaving one post to immediately take on another position at the school.

Also, please send me the following measure of staff retention from the date this request is received. For this stability index, use the following calculation:

(number of staff with service of one year or more in current post x 100)
divided by
(total number of staff in post one year ago)

I would be grateful if you could also supply numbers of teaching and non-teaching staff:
1/ total headcounts at the start and end of the period,
2/ average headcount (start headcount and end headcount divided by two) and
3/ number of leavers over the period.

Current year staff in employment with Academy over 1 year - 69

Thank you - forgive me if I have missed it, but I cannot find the figure for overall number of leavers during the last year. I would be grateful if you send this number so that a measure of staff turnover can be calculated.

Following responses received from schools and academies so far, you may be interested to hear that annual staff turnover varies between 0% and 41%, and staff retention ranges between 55% and 100%.

Following responses received from schools and academies up to today, you may be interested to hear that annual staff turnover varies between 0% and 41%, and staff retention ranges between 55% and 100%.
