Dear Charlotte,

In response to your recent FoI request, the Vice-Chancellor’s salary is
published online (going back to 2006-07) in the annual report and
accounts:
[1]http://www.leeds.ac.uk/downloads/downloa.... I
have attached the nationally agreed salary scales for the past five years,
which are applicable to all staff.

I believe that Tracey has contacted you requesting clarification regarding
the rest of the request.

Best wishes,

Jenny

Dear Tracey,

By perks, I mean advantages or extras that staff are given because of their job position.

Hope this helps

Yours sincerely,

Charlotte Mason

Jenny Foggin,

Dear Charlotte,

The Vice-Chancellor's emoluments are all published in the annual report and accounts. For clarity, I provided you with the nationally agreed salary scales for staff. Lecturers would normally be appointed on Grade 7 or above (see the current vacancies page for examples: https://jobs.leeds.ac.uk/vacancies.aspx?...).

All staff, whether academic or not, are eligible to join a pension scheme with employer's contributions.

All staff can access a range of benefits, for example discounts with various firms, support at work and a staff advice line, which are set out in more detail on the HR webpage: http://hr.leeds.ac.uk/site_search/result.... It is important to note, though, that these are not exclusive to lecturing staff - they are open to all staff.

I hope this is helpful in resolving your query. If you have any questions about this email, however, please don't hesitate to contact me.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision, you should write to or email directly Mr D Wardle, The University Complaints Officer, The University of Leeds, Leeds, LS2 9JT ([email address]). Further information about how the University manages Freedom of Information requests and about our complaints procedure is also available on our website (www.leeds.ac.uk).

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the review/complaints procedure provided by the University. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Best wishes,

JENNY FOGGIN
