SPFT Policy to deny patients with autistic neurology w/o LD access to practitioners with expertise in autistic neurology.
Dear Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,
According to recent news 369 MH patients under SPFT care committed suicide 20-16-2021. 7 were inpatients - 362 were outpatients.
Of these 1 a week suicides for 6 years - how many of the MH outpatients had a diagnosis of autistic neurology?
Did any of the MH outpatients with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum at any point have a Responsible Clinician with expertise in autistic neurology?
Is it or is it not SPFT policy to not commission specialist services for patients with autistic neurology who do not have a Learning Disability?
Yours faithfully,
B McGee-Russell

Dear Freedom Of Information (Sussex Partnership Trust),
In July/August 2021 I was informed, allegedly from SPFT Chief Medical Officer, that: It is SPFT policy to not commission specialist services for patients with 'high functioning' autism.
Is this fact?
Who represents 'high functioning' neurodiverse patients within SPFT?
Regards,
Beth McGee-Russell
