Subject: Freedom of Information request - Spending on Mayoral Cars

Hello,

I'd be grateful if you can provide me with the following information under
the Freedom of Information Act 2000 in regards to vehicles used to
transport the Mayor of your Local authority.

1) A list of all vehicles owned or leased to the council for the use of
transporting the Mayor of your Local authority and:
a) The make and model of each vehicle?  BMW 5 series hybrid (lease
terminated and car returned in early May 2022).

b) The cost of purchasing each vehicle (if not leased) since 2018? Zero
c) The cost of leasing each vehicle (if not purchased) since 2018? £5,130
per annum
d) The cost of fuel for each vehicle since 2018? £1198.05 + vat between
2018 and its disposal in 2022. Being a plug in hybrid meant that it used
electric power for a lot of its journeys.
e)The costs associated with maintaining each vehicle since 2018?  The
costs of maintenance, MOT and repairs was included in the leasing costs.
f) The cost of insuring each vehicle since 2018?  The insurance cost is
not costed for individual vehicles as it is included in the Council’s
fleet insurance.
g) The costs of any parking fees and / or fines / PCNs issued to each
vehicle since 2018?  None

Please provide cost per annum if possible for questions 1b-1g.

2) How many days a week on average is each vehicle used?  It Is not
possible to provide an average number of days as some months are busier
than others due to the number of events the Lord Mayor attends.  For
example during May, June and July the car could be out three or four times
a day.  However, during a quieter month, for example September, it may be
two to three times a week.
3) Is transporting the mayor the primary use of the vehicle? If not,
please list other uses?  Yes, please note the lease was terminated and car
returned in early May 2022.

I look forward to receiving a response from you and I am happy to provide
any additional information you require.

Yours faithfully
Akwesi Osei
