Speed limit enforcement in 2022
Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),
20's Plenty for Us is asking each police force how they are enforcing different speeds limits.
Please can you provide:
1) The total number of Notice of Intended Prosecutions for speeding offences issued in the calendar year 2022, split by speed limit. Please include all NIPs, whether generated by fixed camera, mobile camera, hand-held or other device
2) Of the total number of NIPs above, how many were generated from fixed cameras.

proceed with applications under this agreement as set out in the Data
Sharing Guidance. The applications that have been on hold pending our
review will be processed accordingly and in date order of receipt. Please
await our response in due course whilst our dedicated team work through
the applications received thus far.
Valid applications received prior to 1^st April 2023 will be charged the
2022/23 financial year fees. Valid applications received from 1^st April
2023 will be subject to the 2023/24 financial year fees. For more

forms from 1^st April 2023.
