2. Please provide a summary breakdown by category of the areas where cashable savings have been made as at end of March 2014?

3. Please provide the definition of "identified agreed savings"?

Yours faithfully,

Dave Orr

Dear Mr Orr

I write in connection with your request for information dated 26^th
September concerning procurement.

Specifically you asked: “Procurement for South West One has identified

currently mapping out the services it provides before a full options
review takes place.”

“Q2. Please provide a summary breakdown by category of the areas where
cashable savings have been made as at end of March 2014?”

Please see the table below for the breakdown of cashable savings.

“Q3. Please provide the definition of "identified agreed savings?”

‘Identified agreed savings’ are defined as the total savings identified
from procurement initiative business cases which are fully vetted and
signed off by Avon and Somerset Constabulary stakeholders and finance
teams based on the expected value they will deliver by the end of the
Southwest One contract. Delivered savings track the actual month by month
cashed benefits. Currently the cashed benefits in total are running
slightly ahead of the identified agreed savings meaning as a total,
benefits received have exceeded the identified agreed savings.

Yours sincerely

Dear #Freedom of Information Requests,

You state savings as:

The actual cashable achieved as of the end of March 2014 is £13,008.79.

Did you mean £13m? Or £13,008,000?

Otherwise - Congratulations on hitting the sensible £15m over 10 years savings target you set - compared to the silly £150m savings over 10 years that SCC set (allegedly on the advice of IBM).

Yours sincerely,

Dave Orr
