1. What Software Systems are currently used by the Council for Planning,
Building control and Public Protection/Licencing/Environmental Health?
Havant BC uses Acolaid for Planning, Building Control and Environmental
Health including Pollution control, Food Hygiene etc.
Havant BC uses Lalpac for Licensing.
2. When does each contract expire ?
Currently both contracts are on a rolling annual basis
3. Do you have any planned upgrades of the software? If so, when?
Upgrades take place when the supplier releases them however some are
undertaken by our in house team, others by the supplier.
4. How much does each system cost annually?
Acolaid is charged by the various modules and there are some shared
elements as follows:
Planning £18,489
Building Control £6,652
Environmental Health £13,329
Licensing £12,113
5. Are you planning to go to market for a different Software System? If
so, when?
There is currently a project to look at the replacement of all regulatory
services system however only the Building Control service are at the point
of drawing up a specification. The other services are still working
through the process. There is no firm date for replacement and the project
is being run jointly with our partner council East Hampshire District
Council and may ultimately be a full joint procurement for all 3 services.
6. How many users / licenses for each system do you have?
Planning 24
Building Control 10
Environmental Health 16
Licensing 5
