Dear Essex County Council,

I have been told by Brentwood council to forward this FOI to yourselves

Under the freedom of information please supply the following
statistics in the last 5 years of social services or social workers

1. How many cases has your LA supported a parent that has tried to
or actually harmed or kill a child or previous children but not
supported and / or criticised the other parent for reporting
concerns? What would be your policy on this?

2. How many cases has your LA supported a parent or grandparent or
family member for sexually abusing a child whereas the child has
disclosed abuse? What is your policy on discrediting the concerned
parent reporting disclosures? What is your policy on calling the
child a liar?

3. What is the policy of not placing anything negative (being
selective with evidence) about the abusing parent in reports?

4. What is the policy of falsifying or placing misleading facts
about the concerned parent in reports. How many complaints have you
had of misleading reports?

5. What is the policy if a social worker gets caught out misleading
the courts and and each time the social worker gets caught out they
reduce contact time or removal of the child from the concerned
parent. How many times has this happened? What is your policy on
this?

6. What is your policy on shredding any professional or positive
reports against the concerned parent. Has your LA ever done this?

7. When a child discloses how many cases has a child refused to
speak to professionals or shown no emotions of the abuse. Has this
ever been the case whereas a child has shown no or little emotions.

8. What is your policy if another services user came forward,
independent from the case, and makes a statement against the same
person that the concerned parent has also reported and that both
child disclosures are similar despite disclosures being over 20
years apart, and that such a person has exposed him or herself to a
child(ren). Would it be correct to say that a social worker would
state no concerns. How many cases has a social worker or social
services stated no concerns. What would be the policy if a social
worker stated they had no concerns.

Yours faithfully,

S. Prichard

Dear Your Right To Know,

I further write this FOI with reference to the recent case of Tia sharp where as social services did no act / had no concerns of previous reports with concerns of Tia's safety.

Social services seem to be ignoring concerns and placing children at risk. I do not understand social services' logic on ignoring concerns, removing children from parents reporting concerns and placing them with parents or people that are of high risk. This is happening throughout the UK

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...

A family member, former professional has his child removed as the child disclosed that the mother tried to kill her and another family member inappropriately touching her. The father was accused of emotional abuse for reporting these concerns (disclosures were also made to police and school) He was also accused of abuse for seeking professional advice from NSPCC and his GP for unexplained soreness, constant UTI, discharge, burning urination The local council said that trying to suffocate a child was no risk to a child and placed the child with the mother. The other family member had previous for sexual offences however social services had no concerns that this man done obscene acts to other children

Please could you explain why this is still happening and social services not protecting our children

Yours sincerely,

S. Prichard

Dear Essex County Council,

Thank you for your email

Just a quick clarification on your policy. This did not happen within your council but would appreciate your feedback

1. Children are entitled to protection from significant harm through abuse, neglect or exploitation.
The father reported disclosures by the child of a sexual nature that was also heard by other family member, neighbours, police and school. Social services had “no concerns”, but was concerned with the father reporting it. The social worker witnesses the child disclosing threats to be cut up into little pieces because she had shared her secret with the school. The child had coherent medical problems that were consistent with the disclosures she made. Social services said it was abuse seeking and following medical advice. The alleged perpetrator has been reported previously for similar offences. Social Services had no concerns

Social services told the father that police had investigated the matter but in fact lied when it was confirmed in court that no investigation took place.

A different social services placed the child with the father several years ago after concerns were raised and was previously ignored by social services, of the other parent trying to suffocate the child. His social services said that this is no risk to a child.

Social workers had no concerns of the other parent hitting the child to stop the child making disclosures

The same social worker in another case removed a child from the mother because the mother reported the father, Nigerian, wanted to take the child to Nigeria for FGM, the social worker, also Nigerian, had no concerns of FGM

2. Where a child is being looked after, family contact should be actively promoted unless there are clear reasons why this is not in their interests.
The father cried after social workers lied in court and removed the child and placed her at risk. Social workers have refused contact to the father for crying saying that is a high risk to a child

3. This includes working honestly and openly with families and children. Services should acknowledge and respect the contribution of parents, carers and other family members, involve them in decisions about their children and recognise when they need support.
Social services refused to give the father support. They fabricated medical evidence, falsified police investigations, lost paperwork. Mislead professionals, reduced contact when caught out lying, lost the father his job as a professional. Made comments (caught on tape) such as judges were wrong to give men residence and it was their job to ensure that no men get residence.

I have been informed of a case whereas social workers from Essex CC fabricated evidence to have a child adopted after the mum was involved in an accident. I have seen evidence that a signature was forged for a placement order.

4. We must challenge racism and discrimination.
Social services made comments (caught on tape) such as judges were wrong to give men residence and it was their job to ensure that no men get residence. They also said it was child abuse that the father took the child to church.

When challenged, the social worker verbally abused and went to hit the fathers advocate in ear shot of the child. The LA had no concerns of this behaviour

5. Social services have ignored SET procedures in many cases

6. The father was told that he was a high risk for making complaints, going to MP speaking to NSPCC etc.

7. Social services told the father how to obtain disclosures and what to do but then used it against him for following their advice

Yours faithfully,

S. Prichard
