Serving Officers with criminal records
Dear North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner,
As my last request of 26th August 2016 @ 19:49 has either been ignored or lost on the internet may i repeat my request here:
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide me with
details of the following:
1) How many staff currently employed by North Yorkshire Police have a criminal record.
2) How many serving officers have a criminal record.
3) How many serving officers have resigned to avoid misconduct allegations.
4) What are the convictions for.
5) What is the highest ranking officer to hold a criminal conviction.
I understand that under the Act I am entitled to a response within 20
working days of your receipt of this request. Some parts of the request
may be easier to answer than others. Should this be the case, I request
that you release information as soon as possible.
If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all
deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the act. I will also
expect you to release all non-exempt material. I reserve the right to
appeal your decision to withhold any information or to charge excessive
fees.
I would prefer to receive the information electronically.
If you require any clarification, I expect you to contact me under your
section 16 duty to provide advice and assistance if you find any aspect
of this FOI request problematic.
Please acknowledge receipt of this request, and I look forward to
receiving the information in the near future.
Yours faithfully
Kevin Stainton

Dear Williams, Caroline,
Thank you for your reply, could you please explain your answer considering that all UK forces use exactly the same computer system and yet North Yorkshire Police are the ONLY force as yet unable to complete this task
Yours sincerely,
Kevin Stainton
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately I am out of the office until Tuesday 07 February 2017. I will therefore pick up any e-mails on my return. However, if you require an urgent response please contact the Civil Disclosure Unit, or email [email address]
Dear Mr Stainton,
Thank you for your email below.
As stated within the response, systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
I note that the response did provide the reason why an answer could not be provided and it also included a suggested refinement that would allow some of the information to be provided without exceeding the time limit allowed under the Act. Therefore, if you wish to withdraw question 1 then we can review your request and questions 2 - 5.
Regards
