Dear East Sussex County Council,
As part of a national project to map services for women experiencing multiple disadvantage, I would like to request the following information from your organisation:

1) What services are you currently commission specifically for women affected by:

substance use problems
mental health problems
homelessness
involvement in offending

2) For each type of service commissioned:

What organisation delivers the service and what are their contact details?
How many women can they support at any one time?
When does the current contract end?

a) Brighton Oasis Project starts in January 2017.

b) We do not commission any mental health services that are specifically
for women only.

c) 5 refuges across the county.

     3 services for young mum’s at risk of homelessness across the county.

d) No services commissioned.

 

 

2)

a)

The refuges are delivered by the national organisation Refuge.

The refuges can support 47 women and their children.

The young mum’s services can support 21 young mothers and their children.

Brighton Oasis supports 120 per year.

 

c)

Refuge contract ends in 2017.

1 x young mum’s contract end in 2017 and the others in 2018.

Brighton Oasis contract end in 2017.
