Dear Fife Council,
Can you please tell me when the last road defects report on the road from your boundary from Clackmannanshire (A977 roundabout) on the A907 to Dunfermline was carried out. Can you tell me the last time any temporary repairs were carried out. Can you tell me the number of complaints reported on this section of road in the last year. Can you tell me the number of complaints of damage to vehicles on this section of road in the last year. Can you tell me the number of claims for damages to vehicles in the last year on this section of road. Can you tell me the number of people injured on this road due to road defects in the last year. Can you tell me the number of emergency repairs were carried out in the last year. Can you tell me the number of times the police reported defects on this road in the last year.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2004 – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

I refer to your request for information dated 06/03/2020, our reference; FCIR:30932 relating to road defects from Clackmannanshire (A977 roundabout) on the A907 to Dunfermline.

The information you have requested is subject to the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, therefore, requires us under Freedom of Information Act 2002 to apply exemption S39 (2)(a) Health, Safety and the Environment, as the information is obliged by regulations under S62 to make available to the public in accordance with the regulation.

We will continue to proceed with your request under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, which allows us 20 working days from the date after receipt of your original request.

If you are not satisfied with the way we have handled your request, you have the right to request a review of the decision. Please write to: Head of Legal & Democratic Services, Finance & Corporate Services, Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes, KY7 5LT or e-mail to [email address]. The law provides for you to make this request up to 40 workings days from when you receive this correspondence. We add a further three working days to allow time for delivery of our response giving you up to 43 working days from the date of this correspondence to ask for a review. Where the outcome of the review fails to resolve the matter to your complete satisfaction you have the right to apply to the Scottish Information Commissioner for a decision.

Fife Council will consider and seek to resolve any request to the Head of Legal & Democratic Services that falls outside this timescale.

Last monthly safety inspection was carried out on 24/3/20.

Can you tell me the last time any temporary repairs were carried out?

 

Small Patching programme was carried out on w/c 16/3/20 .

Can you tell me the number of complaints reported on this section of road
in the last year?

 

There were a total of 190 complaints reported for the last year.
Can you tell me the number of complaints of damage to vehicles on this
section of road in the last year?

 

There were a total of 5 complaints.

Can you tell me the number of claims for damages to vehicles in the last
year on this section of road?

 

There were a total of 21 claims in the last year for this stretch of road.

Can you tell me the number of people injured on this road due to road
defects in the last year?

 

There were no reported injuries due to road defects on specified road.

Can you tell me the number of emergency repairs were carried out in the
last year?

 

A total of 36 Category 1 defects were repaired last year.

Can you tell me the number of times the police reported defects on this
road in the last year?

 

The Police reported defects on 4 occasions.
