Security cameras in the Blocks on Peel Street

The request was partially successful.

Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,
There was recently a further online consultation with residents from the Blocks on Peel Street relating to the installation of security cameras. Concern was raised about access to the stored material and the length of time the footage was to be stored. Breaches were dealt with by an assertion from RBKC that the matter should be reported to the Police assuming the victim was aware of the breach. You will be aware that RBKC was heavily fined by the Information Commissioner for a serious breach around five years ago.

How many times have breached of data been detected within the RKBC since 2015 ? What internal disciple was taken if any against the perpetrators and were these breaches notified to the victim or the Police.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's handling of my FOI request 'Security cameras in the Blocks on Peel Street'.

Some specifics of my request have been ignored. With over 900 breaches of data security since 2018 I understand why RBKC are bland in the response. I want to know if the Police were informed of any breaches and the numbers of staff dismissed if any.

And why the RBKC does not hold all of the information relating to its staff or contractors who were discovered breaching the DPA.

Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,

My request for an internal review seems to have been ignored.
Data breaches by staff form RBKC is a very serious matter and you only showed in your initial response those that had been detected.
Nor did you indicate if the Police were involved i investigating any of those incidents. This now becomes a matter that I will reluctantly refer to the Information Commissioner office.

Yours sincerely,

paul halloran

Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,

I remind you that your review is overdue. It should include those specifics not addressed in your initial response.

Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea,

Unhappily for you because of the delay in responding to the review request I have reported you to the Information Commissioner. It is up to them to investigate now. Any further delay on your part is unlikely to avert this.
