We will respond to you as promptly as possible and, in any event, will provide the information you seek within 20 working days from receipt of your request, unless it transpires that we do not hold the information or that the information is exempt from disclosure. Dear Mr Lewis
You requested information from the Commission under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Your request is being handled by the Commercial & Common Law team.
I am writing now to ask you to clarify your request. Having done some research, our understanding of your request is that it may relate to the use of bailiffs to collect council tax. We have made a search of our records and have concluded that the Commission does not hold information related to that matter. However, we should be grateful if you could either confirm our understanding or provide further information in order that we may try to identify and locate the information you are seeking. In particular, we would ask for further explanation of what you would like to know regarding the "securitisation of notices".
We should make clear that, in providing clarification for us, you are under no obligation to disclose to the Commission the purpose which underlies your request for information.
We should also tell you that whilst we are waiting for you to provide clarification of your request the 20 working days’ time limit for our responding to you on the request will not operate.
If you need to discuss this issue, or need assistance in identifying more clearly the documents you are wanting, please telephone me on 020-3334 5327 or e-mail me at this address.
