Further to your Freedom of Information Request of 25 February concerning Section 106 funds, in response to your questions we can advise as follows:

1. How much section 106 money has been received by the council in the last five years?

£909,017

2. How much section 106 money, received by the council in the last five years, remains unspent?

£779,939, please note that this largely comprises funds collected in lieu of affordable housing, these funds are being collated until the sum is sufficient to invest in a suitable project.

3. How much section 106 money, received by the council in the last five years, remains unallocated?

£779,939 assuming that unallocated means not allocated to a specific scheme.

4. How much section 106 money, received by the council in the last five years, has had to be returned due to not being spent or allocated before the agreed date?

Nil

Please note this data is based on the time period 1/4/2013 to 31/3/2018. We have also not included the following:

(i) S106 payments and payments collected under unilateral undertakings in respect of the Solent Disturbance and Mitigation Project and its iterations. More information on this type of agreement can be found on our website: www.havant.gov.uk/unilateral-undertaking...
This type of payment is passed onto the bankers for the project at the end of the quarter following implementation of the permission or after payment has been requested following a S106 trigger point.

(ii) Payments due, collected and spent by Hampshire County Council.
