School supply agency spends 21/22

The request was successful.

Michelle Jones

Dear Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council,

With regards to the Freedom of Information Act, I would like a
summary of the school spends on agency supply staff within Rhondda Cynon Taff CBC for the financial year 2021 - 2022.

I would like an electronic breakdown of amounts
paid through the department's purchase ledger by school and to which supplier.

Yours faithfully,

Michelle Jones

Dear Ms Jones

We refer to your Freedom of Information Request in respect of School
Supply Agency Spend in 2021/22.

Please refer to the attachment for the information.

You will see from the attachment that some information has been redacted
which relates to third party personal data. Section 40(2) provides that
personal data about third parties is exempt information if one of the
conditions set out in Section 40(3A), (3B) or (4A) is satisfied. Under the
Act disclosure of this information would breach the fair processing
principle contained in the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018. Therefore, in
accordance with Section 17 of the Act this e-mail acts as a Refusal Notice
to this element of the request. In refusing this element of the request
the Public Interest Test has been considered and we have therefore
balanced such issues as the Council's desire to be open and transparent in
all its dealings against the need to ensure that the personal data of
individuals is not made public.

Also please note: the attached spreadsheets relates to payments made by
the Local Authority only. Some Secondary and Primary Schools also have
their own bank accounts, therefore to have an accurate and true reading of
school supply agency spend, you will also have to contact the governing
bodies of the schools that are not on the attached list. A full list of
schools within RCT can be viewed via the following:

[1]https://www.rctcbc.gov.uk/EN/Resident/Sc...

As you may be aware, schools are separate public bodies for the purposes
of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

If you are unhappy with the way your request for information has been
handled, you can request a review of the Council’s response. If you wish
to exercise this right, you must do so within 40 working days of the date
of this response. Please set out in writing your grounds and send your
appeal to Mrs Julie Llewellyn. She may be reached at
[2][email address] or at RCT CBC, The Pavilions, Clydach
Vale, Tonypandy, CF40 2XX.

Additionally you may, if you wish, find out more about the Freedom of
Information Act & Environmental Information Regulations from the
Information Commissioner at [3]http://www.ico.org.uk/

Yours sincerely
