Schedules to Mooring Plan

The request was refused by Canal & River Trust.

Dear Canal & River Trust,

Please treat this request for information as a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please provide me with the implementation schedules detailing visitor mooring locations and maximum stay times; neighbourhood definitions; new ‘community’ mooring zones, and terms and conditions for the associated 'community' mooring permit, that were sent to the Kennet and Avon Local Waterway Partnership alongside the document 'Towpath Mooring Plan for the Kennet & Avon Canal West of Devizes: Framework' on or around 16 August 2012.

Thank you. I look forward to your reply.

Yours faithfully,

P Smith

Dear Ms Smith,

I am writing further to the acknowledgement you received form my colleague, Kelly Radley, on 24th August.

Please find attached a copy of the framework plan as requested below.

The schedules you have requested are exempt from disclosure under section 22 [information intended for future publication] of the Freedom of Information Act because they are currently in draft format. It will be for the Waterways Partnership to consider the schedules and we expect them to be substantially revised. In the circumstances we consider that the public interest in applying the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
I understand that we hope to be in a position to publish the scheduled at the end of this year/the beginning of next year. At this time we will direct you to where these documents are published.

If we haven’t reasonably met your expectations in relation to a request for information or you believe we may not have acted in accordance with the above legislation you should write in the first instance to Kelly Radley Head of Customer Relations, Canal & River Trust, First Floor North, Station House, 500 Elder Gate, Milton Keynes MK9 1BB or to [email address] outlining your concerns and asking for a review to be undertaken. Your correspondence will be acknowledged and a review of your case will be undertaken, usually by a director or manager in a senior role.

Should you remain unsatisfied by the response you receive you are able to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx.

Kind regards,

Sarina Young
