Dear Bexley Council,

It is inevitable that in the coming years there will have to be fiscal savings as there was ten years ago. This can only be achieved by a reduction in staff salaries and redundancies.

Any increase in staff salaries will have to be made at the bottom of the spin such that all officers receive the same raw increase.

Yours sincerely,

Fergus Wilson

Dear Bexley Council,

Can I give you a reminder?

Dear Mr Wilson

I have considered your request for an internal review regarding
the information we provided to you previously, in accordance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The information you have requested is not held by us in an accessible form
and your request asks for the number and further details of officers who
have received a salary of £100,000 past or present without any limitation
by date.   We do not hold this information in a reportable format and to
collate it would exceed the cost limit of 18 hours that is set out in
Section 12 of the Act.

This is because we would be required to look at archived accounts going
back as far as we had them to identify each post holder who received a
salary of £100,000. Not all officers are named in our accounts. Therefore,
we would be required to check each yearly account record to identify which
officers were paid this salary amount, the position they held at the time
and then cross reference this information against our HR records to
provide the level of detail you have requested.

That said, our previous response did not disclose as much information as
possible and my decision is that the internal review has been partially
successful.

I have attached a link to the archive of accounts.  The the salaries and
positions held for all employees going back to 2011/12 can be found in
each set of accounts.
