Dear Warwickshire County Council,

In 2015, a new £2.5m fund from Warwickshire County Council was announced to make areas around schools safer for children and parents.

In the report "SAFER ROUTES TO SCHOOLS AND 20MPH INITIATIVES TASK AND FINISH GROUP FINAL REPORT" (https://apps.warwickshire.gov.uk/api/doc...), the following recommendations were made:

The Task and Finish Group agrees, following the analysis of all options and
the consideration of the evidence, the following recommendations.
Recommendation 1
That the capital budget of £2.5 million be initially divided on the following
basis.
• Advisory 20mph limits outside schools receive a maximum allocation of
£200,000 or 8% of any funds available.
• £2,300,000 for expenditure on safer routes to school, 20mph zones
and 20 mph speed limits.

Questions:

1) Out of the £2.5 million capital funding allocated to safer routes to schools, how much has been spent? Please provide a breakdown of cost per completed scheme and the location.

ii) If there are schemes still yet to be started but confirmed, please detail these.

2) Please detail the number of new 20mph zones (either advisory, limits or zones) created as part of the initiative.

3) The report detailed 100 routes classed as unsafe by WCC. At present day, how many of these routes are still classed unsafe?
