Thank you for your query on the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs). You asked whether the legislation requires the RSPB to give information held on you.

As your request concerns information relating to yourself (ie your personal data) , it is the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) that is applicable, rather than the EIRs. The DPA requires organisations to provide individuals with a copy of their personal data that they hold, subject to any exemptions that may be applicable. The RSPB’s website provides contact details for people who wish to enquire about their personal data that it holds.
