RSAS accreditation

Dear Police Crime Prevention Initiatives Ltd,

REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

I understand that PCPI is the organisation which provides the British Transport Police with "recommendations" as to which Train Operating Companies (TOCs) and third party security contractors are to be accredited under the Railway Safety Accreditation Scheme (RSAS).

It is acknowledged by the BTP that the former South West Trains (e.g. Stagecoach South Western Trains Limited) was RSAS accredited[1], and, therefore, would have been subject to reports from PCPI.

However, it is not clear whether or not this accreditation carried to the replacement TOC, South Western Railway (e.g. First MTR South Western Trains Limited).

To that end, I should be obliged if you would please disclose the following:

RFI1: A copy of any reports that you may have for the period 2015 - 2017 in relation to South West Trains' RSAS accreditation (a review or otherwise)
RFI2: A copy of any reports that you may have for the period 2017 - 2019 in relation to South Western Railway's RSAS accreditation (a review or otherwise)

If you believe that any information contained within these reports requires to be redacted please do explain your reasons for doing so, along with details of any relevant public interest test undertaken under your FoIA obligations.

I look forward to hearing from you within the usual twenty working day period.

Yours faithfully,

Bob Packard
