River Biological Water Quality Data

Food and Environment Research Agency Nid oedd gan y wybodaeth y gofynnwyd amdani.

Dear Food and Environment Research Agency,

I am a student of civil engineering and am doing a project on the
disinfection process and request the following information:

microbial, chemical and physical water quality (relevant to the WHO water treatment guidelines) on the river Thames.

If the data is available could I please have this information as
ether continuous readings though out 1 year or the monthly
average and maximums. In a excel spread sheet if possible.

Yours faithfully,

Bjorn Cunniff

A M Cassels,

Dear Mr Cunniff,

Thank you for your email dated 14th April 2010 which requested
information from the Food and Environment Research Agency (Fera) in
connection with River Thames water quality.

I am sorry to inform you that Fera does not hold the information you
have requested. However I have made some enquiries on your behalf and I
can inform you that some of the information you requested is held by
the Environment Agency (EA). I am advised by the EA that microbial data
would have to be obtained from the Local Authority (Environmental
Health) as the Environment Agency only carries out those tests for
designated bathing waters.

Your request should be made to the Environment Agency at:
[email address]
and should be made under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR)
rather than Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Yours sincerely,

A M Cassels
