North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) hereby acknowledges receipt of
your request for information as detailed below, which is being actioned
under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. However, it is
clear that NWFRS will not be able to provide a response without
clarification of the information required, as follows:

 

To be valid under the Freedom of Information Act a request must include
the requester’s real name. NWFRS has reason to believe that you may be
using a pseudonym, and under the terms of the Act the Service can request
proof of identity in such a circumstance. Therefore, until that proof of
identity is provided, actioning of this request will be paused.

 

Once you have clarified your request NWFRS will be able to prepare a
response.  If clarification is not received within three months your
request will be considered to have lapsed (under section 1(3) of the
Freedom of Information Act, a public authority need not comply with a
request unless any further information reasonably required to locate the
information is supplied).

 

Please note: During the COVID-19 pandemic resources may be diverted away
from usual compliance or information rights work and, therefore,
requesters may experience understandable delays when making information
rights requests.

Further to your recent request to North Wales Fire and Rescue Service
(NWFRS) made under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act regarding
Rhyl Fire Station, the response from NWFRS is as follows:

2x Water Rescue Tenders

1x Incident Command Unit

1 x Aerial Ladder Platform

 

 2. How many personnel are on each Watch?

7 personnel on each Wholetime watch

12 personnel on retained duty system

 

 3. What’s  the Area Cover for the station?

Cover area – All of Rhyl and its surrounding areas, from Pensarn to
Prestatyn. Due to specialist appliances based at the station, crews can be
called to attend incidents across the region.
