Dear Enquiries, Unit,

Thank you for your response.

The document I requested is referred to as "RGS Note 6 for Determinations involving Sites of High Public Interest" but the document I received is RGN 6. I am not sure whether the document I received is the document I requested. The RGN 6 document received is dated March 2015 and the version number is 5.0.

The RGN 6 document received is the same document as:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk...
but this weblink shows the document as "withdrawn".

RGS Note 6 is referred to in permit decision documents such as the draft decision document for permit EPR/ZP3537AT (see my original request).

It is surprising that the document referenced as RGS Note 6 is actually RGN Note 6 - a document marked as "withdrawn".

Please confirm that the EA holds no other document with a title of "RGS Note 6" (or similar) that is referenced by permit decision documents.

Thank you for your help.

Yours sincerely,

D Mudge

Bellevue de Sylva, Kevin, Environment Agency

Dear Mr/Ms Mudge,

Thank you for your email, which has been passed to me for reply.

Just to confirm that “RGN 6: Determinations involving sites of high public
interest” is the same document as “RGS Note 6: Determinations involving
sites of

high public interest”.

The front page of the document uses the reference “Regulatory guidance
series No RGN 6”. This is sometimes referred to as “RGS Note 6’ (standing
for Regulatory Guidance Series – Note 6) – or simply ‘RGN 6’. (Regulatory
Guidance Note 6). But as mentioned, they are the same document.

The document published on GOV.UK has been withdrawn (from external use),
as the content was re-classified as internal guidance under the [1]Smarter
Environmental Regulation Review. The document is still used internally
within the Environment Agency.

I hope that answers your query.

If you have any further queries regarding the document, please let me know

Kind regards

Kevin
