Thank you for your request for information dated and received by the
Freedom of Information Unit on 25/11/2018 concerning resources.

 

This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

 

Dyfed Powys Police can confirm that it does hold some of the information
covered by your request; however we believe that we need further time in
which to provide a full response to you.

 

We consider that the following exemption of the Freedom of Information Act
may apply to the information in part:

 

Section 31(1)(a)(b) Law Enforcement

 

(1)    Information which is not exempt information by virtue of section 30
is exempt information if its disclosure under this Act would, or would be
likely to prejudice –

(a)    The prevention or detection of crime

(b)    The apprehension or prosecution of offenders

 

Section 31 is a prejudiced based qualified exemption and there is a
requirement to articulate the harm in confirming or denying whether the
information held or not as well as considering whether there is a public
interest in neither confirming nor denying whether the information
requested is held or not.

 

We now need further time in which to take a decision on where this balance
lies. We will endeavour to provide you with a response as soon as possible
an in any case by 23/01/19. Should there be any further delay we will
write to you accordingly.

in the Freedom of Information Unit at Dyfed-Powys Police on 25^th November
2018 regarding police resources.

 

Your request for information has been handled under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and has now been considered.

 

Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) places two duties
on public authorities. Unless exemptions apply, the first duty at Section
1(1)(a) is to confirm or deny whether the information specified in a
request is held. The second duty at Section 1(1)(b) is to disclose
information that has been confirmed as being held.

 

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested,
however the following exemptions have been applied to part of the
information you have requested:

 

Section 21 – Information reasonably accessible by other means

Section 31 – Law Enforcement
