Public Interest Test Reasons

West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service has concluded that the public
interest in maintaining these exemptions outweighs the public interest in
disclosure. This decision is based upon the following reasons:

·         The information requested is of trade and business secret and
releasing this information will likely to be prejudice the commercial
interest of the companies involved and the Authority in future contracts.

·         The will also risk suppliers unwilling to respond to future
contract with possibility of broader implication of supplier no longer
wanting to tender for Authority business due to the likelihood of them
having to share all their technical and commercial skills.

·         The authority believes this information is not been requested
for public interest but an individual company’s commercial self-interests.
