Dear North Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council,

Questions relating to North Tyneside Councils Directorship of the Association of North East Councils Ltd (ANEC Ltd)

The ANEC association was closed in March 2016 due to the creation of the North East Combined Authority (NECA). North Tyneside left NECA and is now a member of the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA).

(1) What is the purpose of the retained directorship in the Association of North East Councils Ltd (Company number 05014821)?

(2) What funding / levy does North Tyneside Council contribute to ANEC Limited on a yearly basis?

the Information Commissioner’s guidance, Awareness Guidance 11 Time for
Compliance, the 20 working day clock starts the day after the Council
received the request. The due date has been calculated to be 25/02/2020. 

 

If the information you have requested contains reference to a third party,
then they may be consulted prior to a decision being taken on whether or
not to release the information to you.

 

Very occasionally, fees may be payable for the supply of information under
the Freedom of Information Act.  This will be considered, and if fees are
payable in respect of this request the Council will contact you before
proceeding in order to be sure that you are happy to go ahead.  Any fees
that do apply must be paid before the information is processed and
released.

My request came from a background of the elected mayor not declaring an interest for this company as a director and reference to the ANEC Association of which I can find no current record.
I note in your answer that you did not provide full details of the financial costs of ANEC Ltd. Can you please clarify how much the membership fee costs for this trading name of ANEC Ltd.
