Dear Mr Gannon

TfL Ref: 0577-1819 and 0604-1819

Thank you for your two requests received by Transport for London (TfL) on
31 May 2018 the first asking for a copy of all documents regarding
preparations for Mike Brown's radio interview with Nick Ferrari of LBC and
the second on 7 June 2018 asking for a copy of all documents including
emails, minutes and memos  between Mike Brown's office and TfL's media
office regarding preparations for Mike Brown's radio interview with Nick
Ferrari of LBC.  I apologise for the delay in replying.

Mike Brown was not interviewed by LBC’s Nick Ferrari.  Rather, he took
part in a panel discussion about London’s transport infrastructure, as one
of a number of speakers at an event run by the Arts Club, which was
moderated by Nick Ferrari.  Comments made by Mike Brown during the panel
discussion were subsequently used by LBC for their radio programme. As the
speaking event was not a media interview, there were therefore no
preparations for a media interview.  We have, however, enclosed documents,
emails, minutes and memos related to the speaking event at the Arts
Council and we have combined your two requests together.

Your requests have been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can
confirm that we hold the information you require.

Please see attached as requested.

Please note that in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data
Protection legislation some personal data has been removed, as required by
section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal
data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first
principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and
lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when
the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not
satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
