Request for Council Correspondence

Duncan McKenzie made this Rhyddid Gwybodaeth request to City of York Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear City of York Council,

The Council responded in February 2014 to a Freedom of Information Request made by The York Press newspaper. It concerned Council correspondence about various issues relating to the Lendal Bridge traffic management trial then in progress following which the Council's response documents were referred to in a 27th February press report at

Please provide the following -

1. Copies of all the Council's emails and all of any other documents provided to The York Press in response to that Freedom of Information Request.

2. Copies of all subsequent emails and other correspondence to date within, from, and to Council members and officers that make reference to considerations of refunding penalty charges imposed for alleged contraventions of the Lendal Bridge traffic scheme and contraventions of the Coppergate traffic scheme.

Yours faithfully,

Duncan McKenzie, City of York Council

The information given to the Press contained multiple breaches of Data Protection thus preventing it being easily viewd by the public. Should this 'error' re-occur (and believe me it might) it would be an even clearer indication of this organisation's determination to cover up.

The information of part 1 is with Gavin Aitchison at the York Press but, but I believe is as yet unredacted of the personal data that the council left attached. Might still quicker requesting it from this source.

Dear [email address],
Your response to my freedom-of-information request is now overdue in breach of the FOI Act.

Please provide the requested information without further delay

Yours sincerely,

Duncan McKenzie
