Request for complete list of book/essay titles and all other materials that come under the umbrella of 'Access to security sensitive material'.

The request was partially successful.

Dear University of Reading,

Could you please send me the complete list of book/essay titles and all other materials that come under the umbrella of 'Access to security sensitive material'.

This is your definition:

"This policy applies to all staff and students, who, as part of their academic work
intend to access or are accessing security-sensitive material. ‘Security-sensitive’
material includes, but is not limited to:

material which might be thought to encourage the commission, preparation
or instigation of acts of terrorism,
material which would be useful in the commission of acts of terrorism,
material which glorifies acts of terrorism"

Your definition includes the statement

" ‘Security-sensitive’ material includes, but is not limited to"

Can you please include everything that is 'not limited to' the above material

Yours faithfully,

Jon Hildreth

Dear Mr Hildreth,

We have completed the compilation of information in response to your
request.

We can confirm that we do not hold the information specified in your
request.

***************************** FOI RESPONSE ***********

We do not hold a “list of book/essay titles and all other materials that
come under the umbrella of 'Access to security sensitive material'”. The
University does not hold a list of materials that it deems as “security
sensitive”. However, under Sec.16 (duty to provide help and assistance),
we can advise as per the University Access to Security Sensitive Materials
policy, those seeking to access such materials are asked to notify through
the appropriate channel the material they have deemed to be security
sensitive (as defined by the policy). As such, those which are have been
identified through the process are:

* Access materials posted on You Tube relating to the incitement or
support of recent Palestinian political violence. Access various
Palestinian forums or message boards.

* Conduct research in the field of security, war, terrorism, insurgency,
etc. As such I will need to access this material. Databases such as:
MAROB, BAAD, GTD, etc. Archives such as CAIN, Affiliated newspaper
such as SAOIRSE

* “The Mini-manual of the Urban Guerrilla is an additional recommended
reading (not compulsory).”

* "Our Morals: The Ethics of Revolution" by Norman Geras
